Section 508
Section 508 is a federal law that mandates agencies ensure individuals with disabilities have equal access to electronic information and data, similar to individuals without disabilities, unless doing so would place an undue burden on the agency. Section 504
Section 504 is a federal law that mandates agencies provide individuals with disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in their programs and activities, unless changing policies, practices, or procedures would fundamentally alter the nature of the program, service, or activity, or impose undue financial or administrative burdens on the agency.
